Owners
J2 was started by Jeremy Hilland and Joseph Anderson. Both are Aggie alumni and combined have over thirty years of experience in construction and remodeling.

The Hillands
Jeremy
Jeremy Hilland has been in the construction and remodeling business since 2004 and is experienced in construction management, estimating, and installation.
Jeremy graduated Texas A&M with a degree in Accounting in 1995 and gained experience in several fields before landing in construction and remodeling. He began his career as an accountant and an auditor in the banking industry. He then attended the Culinary Institute of America (the other CIA) in Hyde Park, NY in 1998 and became a personal chef for 5 years before moving to the construction and remodeling industry.Carla
Carla Hilland graduated from Texas A&M with a degree in Psychology and followed that with a master’s degree from Sam Houston State University. She and Jeremy married in 1994 and have 3 wonderful children. After working in the field of counseling and neuropsychology for 8 years, Carla home schooled their children and eventually worked in administration at KOR Education School. She joined the team at J2 Construction in 2023 to work behind the scenes helping ensure that office operations run smoothly. In her free time, Carla enjoys time with family and friends, being outdoors, and joining the Lord Jesus where He is at work every day.

Joseph Anderson
Joseph Anderson has worked in remodeling since 2014. Joseph is a talented installer and he’s experienced in estimating and construction logistics.
He is a Texas A&M graduate and has lived in the BCS area since 2009. Like Jeremy, Joseph began his career outside of the construction industry, first working for Northwestern Mutual in financial planning and insurance. His future plans are to be an overseas missionary sharing the Gospel with people who have never heard about Jesus Christ.

Our field staff is a team of highly capable foremen and experienced handymen who work to ensure your remodel is done well.
Josiah Kocmoud - Project Manager
Josiah Kocmoud has worked in construction since 2017. A College Station native, Josiah is a problem solver with attention to detail. With his positive can-do attitude, Josiah serves as project manager over all types of remodel projects. Josiah also helps oversee maintenance & repairs on our vehicles and tools. Josiah is a tinker. He enjoys bringing old discarded items back to life. As a homeschooler, Josiah enjoyed playing BVCHEA football and working sound & lights at The Theater Company. Now as a father of five, he spends lots of time with his wife, Katherine, and the kids.
Eric Webb - Construction Director
Eric grew up in a rural community in Southwest Kansas. He grew up tinkering and figuring out machinery, buildings, and keeping the business running. After high school he earned a bachelors and masters at Southwestern College before settling into a job in higher education where he spent the next ten years crunching numbers. He came to Texas to work at Texas A&M University, where he met his wife. While working this desk job, he was the local handyman for his neighborhood and started to learn construction science in his free time. After years of running a part-time cabinet shop from his garage, he joined the construction field and acquired a depth of knowledge related to installations. Outside of work, he spends time with his wife and son, and still builds cabinets in his backyard workshop.
Frank Manhire - Warehouse Manager
Frank Manhire began work as a remodel field worker in 2019. A College Station native, Frank is skilled in demolition, rough framing, carpentry and many of the finish items we handle. Frank’s specialty is taking care of finish items and punch work that require more attention to detail and a higher skill level to complete. More recently, Frank has taken over as our warehouse manager, purchasing agent and office help.
Peter Hamiter - Project Manager
Peter started with J2 as a field worker before transitioning to a Project Manager. From a lawn care, landscaping, and irrigation background, Peter has experience in leading crews and completing projects as well as solving problems for clients. He comes from a home school family of nine kids and grew up in College Station. When not at work, Peter enjoys spending time with his family, being outdoors, and riding his motorcycle.
Adrian Guardado - Field Manager
Adrian Guardado began working in flooring in 2017. A Bryan native, Adrian is an experienced 2nd generation installer in all aspects of flooring. Additionally, Adrian worked in several different states installing solar panels. Adrian helps to oversee our flooring projects as well as take care of repairs. With a strong work ethic, Adrian has become well-versed in demolition and various aspects of remodeling.
Tim Livingston - Project Manager
Originally a Louisiana native, Tim has been knee-deep in the construction industry for 37 years, giving him ample experience and understanding from project to project. He also spent time managing retail, and is a licensed pastor, adding leadership and operations experience as well as communication, care, and mentorship to his tool set. When he is not working, he enjoys spending time with his family by going hiking, camping, and kayaking.
Jace Muller - Field Worker
Jace has spent the majority of his life in the BCS area and is well acquainted with the community. He has experience in a variety of construction applications and is eager to hone his skills. In his spare time he enjoys being out in nature and spending time with his friends and family. Jace is currently working on becoming a lineman when not working at J2.
Michael O’Brien - Designer
Originally from North Dallas, Michael came to College Station to study Materials Science and Engineering at Texas A&M. After graduating in 2023, he worked as a designer for a local engineering firm before bringing that experience into the remodeling industry. One of his favorite parts of the job is helping homeowners see their projects come to life through 3D renderings before construction begins. Outside of work, he loves spending time with his wife and daughter, growing closer to God, and staying active through distance running.
Bobby Wilson - Field Worker
Originally from California, Robert moved to College Station in 2024 and brings past construction experience along with a strong appreciation for quality craftsmanship and hands-on work. In his free time, he enjoys taking on home projects and building historical models.
Jose Torres - Field Worker
Jose Torres is a Bryan native and attended Bryan High School (Go Vikings!). With his drive for excellence, Jose works hard as a member of our field team to accomplish interior & exterior remodel work.
Caleb Bartel - Sales & Design Consultant
Caleb Bartel moved from Tulsa, OK and has enjoyed living in the Brazos Valley since 2017. Marrying into a local Aggie family he instantly fell in love with the tradition and culture surrounding Aggieland. He grew up with a dad who built or fixed whatever was needed and learned a lot from “hold this” & “hand me that.” In college, he began learning building science as well as sales in the HVAC industry. Moving into energy inspections and construction management roles throughout the last 15 years, Caleb is a licensed TREC and Mold inspector in the state of Texas. He is happily married to his amazing wife Beth and raising their five wonderful kiddos. Outside of work, you are most likely to find him at some sort of kids event or in a deer stand. We are excited to have Caleb on our sales & estimating team at J2!
Collier Steele - Field Worker
Collier hails from Lakeway, TX on the west side of Austin. Currently, he is studying Construction Science at Texas A&M University with plans to graduate in 2029. Collier enjoys doing the work in the field that he is learning in the classroom. He loves to cook, fly fish, and listen to country music. When he's not at work you can usually find him working a grill by the poolside.
Woody Latham - Electrician
Woody Latham works as an electrician for J2 Construction performing remodel electrical work and rewiring entire houses. Woody has worked as an electrician for over 24 years and these years of experience are reflected in his work. When not on the job, he likes barbecuing, working out, and hanging out with his family. And even though he’s prone to motion sickness, Woody has a love of rollercoasters.
Shelby Ray - Administrative Assistant
Shelby Ray grew up in Sulphur Springs, a small town in North East Texas. She grew up in a large family that values being able to get things done and get them done well. Shelby attended Texas A&M University, graduating in 2026 with a degree in Classical Studies. While this area of study seemingly has nothing to do with construction, it has allowed her to foster critical thinking skills, communication skills, and a great work ethic which she is excited to utilize in the J2 showroom as an administrative assistant.
