Master Bath & Laundry Remodel in College Station, TX

This College Station master bathroom wasn't old, but its design no longer fit. The homeowners wanted to take the space from new to newer: a fully modernized look, and a room that works far better day to day.

Getting to the new layout took significant plumbing reroutes, the behind-the-wall work that makes everything else possible. A custom vanity with 12 drawers now anchors the room, with tall cabinet towers on either side so everything has a place.

The shower was rebuilt with large-format 12x24 porcelain walls, a built-in niche and bench, a pebble floor, and a sliding glass door. The floor throughout was laid in a classic herringbone pattern, and the tub was upgraded with a paneled front and a decorative backsplash surround. Gold fixtures and hardware tie the whole room together.

The most practical change is the laundry. The remodel added space for a washer and dryer inside the master suite, so nobody has to haul laundry all the way across the house anymore.

It's a good example of a remodel that's about more than finishes: reworking the floor plan so everyday life is a little easier.
